Our goal is to contribute information targeting the dairy industry in regard to improving hoof health and decreasing lameness. Our recommendations aim to improve the welfare of dairy cows in terms of hoof health while also increasing economic returns.
Through the University of Alberta we have created an interative individualized tool for dairy producers, hoof trimmers and those associated with the dairy industry. It is an overall break down of the costs associated with lameness and includes all proposed methods to decrease lameness based on current research globally.
